New Zealand Secondary Schools
Rivalries run deep as the New Zealand Secondary Schools Netball Champs get underway on the 7th - 10th October at Auckland Netball Centre, St Johns.
Three tournaments were played throughout New Zealand; Upper North Island, Lower North Island and South Island. The top four schools from each competition are contending in the New Zealand Secondary School Championship.
Players identified through the Regional Secondary School Competitions have an opportunity for selection in the 2009 New Zealand Secondary Schools team. The 2008 Team had a successful year, beating Australia in the semi-final and Aotearoa Maori in the final to become champions of the International Schoolgirls Challenge in Adelaide.
