Willpower Is Out – Skillpower Is In With Jenny Craig
A Tauranga mother is set to be propelled to national stardom this week due to her success on the Jenny Craig programme and an “underpants incident” fit for Bridget Jones herself.
Zoe Scholfield and her former size 22 underpants feature in the new SkillPower commercials for Jenny Craig which will be screened in New Zealand from today.
Zoe recalls her horror when her two year old daughter played dress ups with her underwear.
“When I saw my underwear covered my daughter’s entire body I was so shocked. That was the moment I knew I had to change my life – what I refer to as my ‘Jenny Craig moment’.”
Since then Zoe has lost 30kgs over 43 weeks.
The Jenny Craig programme focuses on equipping men and women with three core tools to help them reach their goals; Jenny Craig’s 25 years of industry experience, the Jenny Craig cuisine and menu plan and its team of trained consultants.
These three elements make up what Jenny Craig herself coined ‘SkillPower’.
“The Jenny Craig programme taught me so much more than just portion control,” says Zoe. “I learned about SkillPower – the skills and strategies that have changed the way I think about food. This has enabled me to get through the hard days and come out the other end happier, healthier and 30kgs lighter.
“Best of all, since shedding the weight I’ve purchased many new pairs of much smaller underwear, so there’s no more dress ups for Emily from Mum’s underwear drawer!,” laughs Zoe.
Jenny Craig’s Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand, Amy Smith, hopes Zoe’s story will inspire Kiwi women who are struggling on their own DIY diet.
“Don’t do this alone, when there are experts who can help! Research[1] has shown that Jenny Craig clients are five times more likely to succeed than DIY dieters.
“Sheer willpower alone hardly ever works, because wanting to do it is just not enough. With SkillPower you’re equipped with the tools and knowledge you need to replace old behaviours with new, constructive ones. This is the secret to Jenny Craig’s ongoing success.”
Jenny Craig Weight Loss Ambassador, Kiwi netballer, Vilimaina Davu and More FM DJ Nick Trott also feature as part of the new campaign. Vilimaina has lost a total of 15kgs on the programme so far and Nick has lost 27kgs.
