Sassy Fun, Sexy Outfits, the Nippleometer and your weather –
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, April 29, 2008 – After a very successful début season in 2007, the popular kiwi program, the WEATHER ANGELS™, is back for it’s second season.
As people who tuned in to the first season will attest, the WEATHER ANGELS™ definitely give us a new reason to check out our weather forecast. The racy weather program features attractive women forecasting the weekly weather for New Zealand. The girls themselves are dressed in sexy clothing, often chosen as a result of a viewer poll. There is also a segment called the NIPPLEoMETER®, in which the girls go out to different locations and get temperature ‘readings’ …but don’t use a thermometer.
In the first season, The WEATHER ANGELS™, which was seen primarily online and on ALT TV, gained a great viewership. By the end of the season was attaining record numbers: On YouTube NZ it consistently ranked top 10 for “most viewed” and for “most linked”; on www.weatherangels.co.nz , the program’s ratings steadily climbed the entire season climaxing with 123,000 hits for one of the September episodes; and the final episodes of the season reached 175,000 views on video sharing sites.
“We’re really excited to begin our second season,” says Astrid, executive producer of the WEATHER ANGELS™. “The format and features worked so well last year. We’ve tweaked and upgraded some of the existing features and added a few more, so I’m confident it’s going to be better than ever!” Among the upgrades is the availability of product placements for companies who want to capitalize on the popularity of the program and a segment on weather reports from around the globe.
The WEATHER ANGELS™ will be seen Friday nights at 11pm NZT online at www.weatherangels.tv and www.weatherangels.co.nz as well as video sharing sites such as YouTube and Break.com. Daily weather forecasts for around the world are also available on www.weatherangels.co.nz.
