Captured just prior to moving to the United States, this Merry Christmas swan song from energetic rock quartet The Mint
Chicks was the last show with bass player Mike Logie.
The band, now a three piece, is based in Portland Oregon, where they have been fighting off requests to work on their
next album from people including Adrian Belew (guitarist on Bowie’s albums ‘Heroes’ & ‘Low’, leader of King Crimson, current NIN collaborator) and the producers of recent records by Peaches and Beck.
Pleasingly, they still remember the little people, and are on tour in New Zealand as we go to air.
This concert - a chaotic, sold-out affair - was recorded live at the Transmission Room in Auckland.
Featuring the popular songs Crazy? Yes! Dumb? No!, Anti Tiger, Welcome To Nowhere and others; it provides a snapshot of
the adrenalised rush and unpredictability which characterises the best performances from The Mint Chicks.
