PRESS RELEASE
New TV2 Show Wants to Turn Toxic Houses Into Safe Homes
Across New Zealand, thousands of homeowners are being made sick by the place that they call home. Some of these homes could literally kill! Is your home one of them?
Are you or one of your family suffering health problems because your home isn't healthy?
Perhaps your home has leaky building syndrome, asbestos, poor or no insulation, toxic mould, pest infestations - or maybe you've unwittingly bought a former P-lab. Maybe your home has other defects which either are, or you suspect could be making you or your family ill.
You could be suffering health problems from headaches, allergies, eczema and other skin disorders, asthma and other respiratory problems, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, loss of co-ordination, liver damage, suppressed immune system, or a range of pest-borne gastric disorders, parasites and diseases. Some of these conditions can even kill and there can also be significant stress and anxiety in dealing not only with health problems but also with trying to fix the house's problems.
If you think your home may be toxic, Home Sick producers Redflame Media is on the lookout for ten homes and families across New Zealand to be featured in the series.
If successful, each of the ten homes will receive a significant makeover to turn their toxic house into a safe home and also one that reduces the family’s carbon footprint.
