Wellington based promoter Capital C: Concerts, currently bringing Elton John and Bon Jovi for one-off concerts to NZ
this summer, promised Wellington would not be missed out of the company’s 2008 calendar. So the news is hot. The company
has plans to make ROCK2WGTN a unique ‘Rocktacular!’ that will host more than just 4-5 international rock bands plus have
local musicians and a special effects package that will set landmarks in concert production.
Phil Sprey of Capital C: Concerts and his US partner Dan Allen have joined forces with another NZ promoter to make
Easter Saturday and Sunday in Wellington the big destination. Says Sprey, “We are developing concerts in NZ that go
beyond the basics and will deliver total experiences to a very broad demographic audience.” “This is for the baby
boomers and their kids alike and appeal to more than one generation.”
