SUPER GROUP BON JOVI
IS TO PLAY A ONE-OFF
CONCERT THIS SUMMER
IN NEW ZEALAND!
Incoming Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker hasn’t even had time to put on the chains of office before letting New Zealand know that one of the biggest touring bands in the world today is to perform a one off NZ concert at AMI Stadium on Sunday January 27 , 2008.
“ I am thrilled to announce that Christchurch will exclusively host the Bon Jovi concert at AMI Stadium this January. The concert will be the icon event of our Garden City Summer Times Festival which celebrates 25 years of top line summer concerts and events in the city” says Mayor Parker “The city is now well poised to attract more exclusive one off events such as the Bon Jovi Concert".
The long wait is over, BON JOVI - The Lost Highway Tour is confirmed and coming!
Wellington based Promoter Capital C: Concerts’ “One Concert! One City! One Date!” banner highlights the coupe it has made by having the band make the city the only stop in New Zealand. Arriving from concerts in Japan and Australia, the band will head immediately after the South Island show to play at half-time show of the American Football Super Bowl early February.
Bon Jovi is one of the most successful, multi-award winning rock acts formed in the 80’s and still touring today. On January 27 you’ll hear all the bands classic hits such as “Livin’ on a Prayer”, “Bad Medicine”, “Wanted Dead or Alive”, “Blaze of Glory” (from Young Guns II), “Its My Life”, “You Give Love a Bad Name”, “Bed of Roses”, “Have a Nice Day” and others including a sprinkling of songs from their just released “Lost Highway”.
One hundred and twenty million albums and 2500 concerts in over 50 countries later, Bon Jovi is still enjoying the greatest popularity in their history.
Band members Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Tico Torres and David Bryan have been thrilling fans worldwide with their unmistakable rock anthems and ballads.
Opening the Concert will be Christchurch-based rockers The Valves.
