Horror, zoo phobia, chicken poo terrorism winners

Horror, zoo phobia and chicken poo terrorism were three of the winning themes featured in the 2006 New Zealand Radio Drama Competition.
"The eleven finalists were recorded before a packed studio audience and at times there wasn't either a dry eye or a wicked smile falling down or creasing someone's face, it was a brilliant night." said John Bullock Station Manager Fresh FM
"We have a great pool of talented writers who like using radio drama as either the medium of choice for their pieces or as a transition medium, but either way radio is one of the best theatres any writer can use," said Mr Bullock.

"The New Zealand Radio Competition winners and finalists will start playing on Fresh FM this Sunday in our Fresh Feature spot at 4.10pm and in the Radio Drama Showcase Tuesdays at 3.10pm, as well they will be available as downloads at www.freshfm.net," said Mr Bullock.
"All of the dramas featured local actors and nearly all the writers of the plays and stories took part in the production," said Mr Bullock.
The New Zealand Radio Drama Competition is sponsored and produced by Fresh FM and its supporters, Club Fresh. The Environment Section was sponsored by the Nelson City Council.
