Finding that little something different to wear that nobody else has on is a problem no longer with the Summer Fashion Show from Triangle giving you a catwalk full of good ideas. The new season's collections from New Zealand emerging designers represent one-off and limited edition pieces from Wellington and throughout the country, presented in a night of entertainment, music and fashion.
Continuing with its recent tradition of fabulous live catwalk shows at local bars, Wellington fashion boutique Triangle is proud to present Blue Skies: Summer Collection 05/06 with a fashion-packed show at Wellington's Sub Nine from 8:00pm on Saturday, November 12th.
Fifteen talented emerging designers from around New Zealand will be displaying selections of their summer ranges of women's and men's clothing, jewellery, and accessories. Each designer's collection will be introduced separately by MCs Leah and Dan, giving the audience an insightful glimpse of the people and the concepts behind the designs. In response to popular demand, models will again represent all sizes sold at Triangle so you can see yourself looking as gorgeous as they do, realistically.
A variety of styles will be on display during the evening, ranging from edgy goth and punk-inspired street wear from Christchurch label Belly, through Macska's pretty pastel 1950's-style skirts and dresses with matching handbags, and culminating in the ultra-feminine medieval-influenced creations of Wellington label Humanity's "Fairytale" collection. Dream of sipping cocktails in exotic locations with Megan Johnson's "Island Princess" range of exotic print dresses and urban knits; plan your summer at BBQs and the beach with Tripod's "Between the Lines" collection with Tripods "Between the Lines" collection of minis, pants, skirts and stripes; fantasise about lying in a garden bower reading romance novels while dressed in a vintage-inspired satin and lace camisole or dress by Angelrose.
With such a wide selection of styles and designers, the show promises something for everyone. However, you?d better be in fast if you fall in love with a design, as many are one-off pieces handcrafted by the designers themselves, and others are very limited-edition, ensuring that you'll be very unlikely to encounter someone at a party wearing the same outfit!
The show will be split into three sections, with short intermissions filled with the groovy pop-rock tunes of DJ Minor Chord for those essential trips to the bar and discussions with friends.
The outfits will be complemented by the latest summer shoes, as well as the hottest summer hair styles and makeup looks.
Designers featured in the show are:
- Amber
- Angelrose
- Armure
- Belly
- Branded Elements
- Humanity
- Involved
- Juli Hunter
- Katstar
- Ma Cherie
- Macska
- Megan Johnson

So, come along with your friends and have a drink and a fun evening, viewing the latest from our emerging designers, and decide what original little something you?d like to pick up for the summer months ahead.
