Indian Extravaganza To Screen On Triangle Television
More Than 2000 People Attended This Year's Triangle Television Mr India Nz Contest. Now The Rest Of Auckland Can Also Enjoy This Cultural Feast - On Their Screens At Home.
One of the most spectacular events on Auckland's cultural calendar is to be showcased on Triangle Television in an hour-long extravaganza. It is the Triangle Television Mr India NZ 2005 Contest which was held on Saturday at the Logan Campbell Centre in Greenlane attracting a 2000-strong audience.
Filmed by a Triangle Television crew on the night, the event will air on Triangle at 8pm on October 11.
The programme will feature the 13 contestants – all single Indian men – strutting their stuff in gear ranging from the oh-so-skimpy to costumes reflecting the more conservative traditions of their homeland. Viewers will also be treated to a smattering of Kiwidom and Pasifika from some of the performers at the event, who provided a variety of colourful entertainment, and from the contestants themselves who performed a spectacular haka to kick off the show.
