Ben Hurley Farewell
Wellington’s own Winner of the Billy T award for Comedy is leaving the country. Ben is the Creator and regular host of Wellingtons most successful and longest running comedy night “The Wellington Comedy Club” at Indigo Bar. “The Wellington Comedy Club” has been running every week for almost 4 years and has attracted some of the world’s biggest names in live comedy and is now a Wellington institution.
After performing at last years Edinburgh Fringe festival as part of the “Best of Kiwi Showcase”, Hurley was headhunted by a number of British comedy agents. The allure of London’s lucrative pro comedy circuit is too great and he must leave his beloved Wellington. He will perform again at this years Edinburgh Festival before settling in London.
On July 14th and 28th Hurley will host his last 2 Wellington Shows EVER. Ben has assembled his favourite acts from all over New Zealand for his Wellington swansong.
