Free Skate Jam at New Brighton
Take part in ‘Skate Jam’ at New Brighton’s Thompson Park, Marine Parade, on Saturday 16 April from 1pm until 4pm. Be there for an afternoon of skating and blading action, at this FREE community event targeted at youth aged 10 to 14.
Have a go boarding or blading on the quarter pipe, or see the Cheapskates demo team performing on-site demonstrations throughout the afternoon. See the pros work their moves, and pick up some tips and new moves with free advice and coaching.
DJ CoMotion and 91ZM will be there providing music and entertainment throughout the event, and don’t miss out on the free sausage sizzle and awesome give-aways.
In wet weather, Skate Jam will be cancelled, so listen to 91ZM for cancellation updates.
Skate Jam at Thompson Park is a free community event organised by Christchurch City Council’s Community and Recreation unit with funding from the Burwood/Pegasus Community Board. The event is supported by Cheapskates and East Side Surf, Skate & Snow.
