Call for entries to Qantas Media Awards
Organisers of the 2004 Qantas Media Awards, which include categories for arts journalism and photography sponsored by
Creative New Zealand, are now calling for entries.
Creative New Zealand sponsors the arts journalism and photography categories to encourage both the quality and quantity
of arts coverage in the New Zealand media.
This year, there are two new arts awards: one for best arts page or section and another for best arts review.
"The standard of arts pages has increased over the years and we'd like to recognise all those involved in producing the
best arts pages in the country - from the sub-editor through to the reporters, arts editor and photographers," says
Debbie Hannan, Communications Services Manager of Creative New Zealand.
"We also want to make it clear that the entries must be stories or photographs of New Zealand arts and artists because
that's what we're about: promoting New Zealand arts."
