The Return of the... Mt Albert Fun Day
After a two-year wait, Mt Albert Fun Day is back! The family fun day on Sunday 21 March promises to be filled with activities, culture and entertainment for the whole community.
The event will be held at Mt Albert War Memorial Reserve (Rocket Park), Auckland City’s very first recreation hub. It will run from 10am to 2pm.
Activities include:
- YMCA Have-A-Go activities and classes
- Top Team community challenge
- cultural performances in the Memorial Hall
- Farmer Paul’s friendly farmyard
- a variety of food, craft and display stalls
- bouncy castle
- face-painters and stiltwalkers
Event organiser Linda Deverell says: “It’s great to have the return of this family fun day, and we hope that the community at large will get behind and support the variety of smaller community groups that have taken the time and energy to participate on the day.”
The free annual event is organised by Auckland City Council and the YMCA as part of the Free Summer series.
Come along and support your family, friends and community!
