Fringe Festival Needs Visual Artists Urgently!
Visual Artists Promote Your Work: carvers, sculptors, jewellers, painters, printmakers, potters, photographers... Be in a free promotion that guides visitors to your studio for one weekend. You need to register now! The Wellington Visual Tourist Project runs on Saturday the 21st and Sunday 22 of February 2003. Between the hours of 11am and 4pm, visitors are guided to your studio using a large map printed in The Capital Times. There are no fees, no interference, you can be just starting out or an established artist. All you need is some of your work on show and the passion to talk about it. And you need to get your details to the Fringe Festival by February 9.
Its a great opportunity for networking and possible sales, bridge the gap between the artist and the public arena, Fringe seeks to encourage art production and discussion with this project.
The timeline: Get your entry details to Fringe before 9th February. Map & Visual Tourists page[s] printed in 18 Feb edition of Capital Times. Open Studio Weekend takes place 21 / 22 February.
