The Return Of The King World Premiere Red Carpet Special Live On Sky
SKY Television confirmed today that is will screen a LIVE 90 minute red carpet special from the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King world premiere in Wellington on Monday, December 1 from 5:30pm to 7pm on the SKY Movies channel.
The special is the first LIVE television event to be broadcast on SKY Movies and will be followed by a screening of the first movie in Peter's Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring.
SKY's dedicated coverage of the event will be hosted by SKY's veteran TV anchor Stephen McIvor and his SKY Scene co-host Jo Hathaway who will be 'on the red carpet' in Wellington in the lead up to the big event.
As well as interviewing the stars, the special will showcase the day's events giving viewers the chance to see all the action as it unfolds.
Executive Producer, Nigel Godfrey said, "With the fantastic co-operation and access given to us by New Line and The Lord of the Rings team we will be able to bring viewers pictures from a variety of different locations so the show is guaranteed to be spectacular."
Stephen McIvor said, "I've been doing this a while now and have covered quite a few big live sporting events, but to be honest they don't get much bigger than this, I'm just wrapped that we're going to be there".
