Visiting Sweet Adelines "Kiwi Krew" to sing in Cathedral Square
Friday Lunchtime Concert, Cathedral Square, Friday 4th July, 12.15pm to 1.15pm.
Visiting from the USA, a group of Sweet Adeline a'capella singers calling themselves Kiwi Krew will entertain visitors to Cathedral Square this Friday 4th July from 12.15pm as part of the Free Friday Lunchtime Concert Series, presented by Christchurch City Council Leisure.
Members sing in various choruses in and around Seattle, with some women coming from Alaska, Oregon, California and Washington.
Musical Director Zoe Thompson has led various tours to other parts of the world, including New Zealand, but this is a first time visit for the Kiwi Krew.
Zoe Thompson is held in high regard in the barbershop/sweet Adeline world. She is a certified Judge in Sound, Expression and Showmanship categories and is a past president of Sweet Adeline's International. She is also a Master Director and is a member of the international Music Faculty where she has earned the status of Specialist.
Kiwi Krew will be singing a variety of entertaining numbers which highlight their harmony skills and award winning performance style.
