Published: Fri 14 Jun 2002 11:34 AM
National Maori language radio service Ruia Mai will broadcast from tomorrow night's (15/6/02) clash between New Zealand Maori and the Wallabies in Perth.
Sports manager Henare Pryor and reporter Tamati Waaka will commentate live from the Subiaco Oval between 8.45pm and 11.15pm.
The pair will preview the game on tomorrow morning's sports show, Te Papa Taakaro.
New Zealand Maori have met Australia 10 times with the Maori victorious on three occasions and Australia winning five games while two matches have been drawn.
Australia won the last match between the two sides at the Sydney Football Stadium last year 41-29 in a thrilling encounter that ended a 12-match unbeaten run for the New Zealand Maori stretching back to 1993.
The game kicks off at 9pm (NZ time).
The broadcast is available to the national network of iwi radio stations and will be labelled 'MAORI OZ TOUR' as a separate channel on the Punga Net.
Listeners can also tune in via the station's Auckland frequency 1179AM, or on the website www.ruiamai.co.nz.
