Radio Active 89FM builds yet another bridge to it’s on-to-it listeners by establishing a regular txting-based competition system in which to offer giveaways. Succumbing to the whim of kiwi communicators, txting via mobiles phones now allows visionary media organisations to instantaneously connect with an audience, allowing them to interact with an audience in a more “non-confrontational” manner…
Developed alongside multimedia group RUN THE RED and international communications giant VODAFONE, slick and smart adverts are created to provoke the listener to just pick up their phone and simply txt their response to 89FM (8936).
Radio Active 89FM - the place where the music is PHAT, a collection of the 10 latest releases make up the inaugural prize. By txting their name to 89FM as many times as they like, winners are selected in a random draw with their name announced on the Friday during the Breakfast Show at 9:45am. One week into the promotion and already hundreds of responses have been received, indicating the closeness of Wellingtonians to their handheld devices.
And why not? Everyone who loves good music and who owns a Vodafone mobile has nothing but a 20 cents excuse to justify why they wouldn’t want to win with Radio Active 89FM…
