(As part of the Techno Maori - Maori Art in the Digital Age exhibition at City Gallery Wellington & Pataka Porirua Museum of arts and cultures 29 September - 2 December 2001)
This event is an open discussion between John Tahuparae, Ching Tutua, and Pou Temara who performed the Maori ritual opening for Te Papa. They will discuss the ritual and protocol for the opening of Maori ancestral houses, public buildings, and contemporary art exhibitions. The session will be chaired by contemporary Maori artist Darcy Nicholas and is run in association with Toi Maori. Admission Free.
