Vodafone Warriors face a desperate Storm
Auckland, New Zealand, August 21, 2001 – Vodafone Warriors head coach, Daniel Anderson, today announced an unchanged team to travel to Melbourne for Monday night’s season-defining fixture against the Storm.
Francis Meli will partner Clinton Toopi in the centres and Wairangi Koopu will pack alongside Awen Guttenbeil in the second row. Giant props, Mark Tookey and Richard Villasanti have been named as interchange players, with a view to maintaining forward power throughout the full eighty minutes.
“We simply have to win this game if we want to make the eight. We have built up good momentum, however we are up against a desperate team that are very hard to beat at home. It’s arguably the game of the round”, said Anderson.
