Published: Tue 13 Mar 2001 03:09 PM
This Sunday marks a an unprecedented anniversary for 95bFM with The Audible World (4pm-5pm) turning 20!
Since 1981 when a fresh faced Ross Clark began his stewardship The Audible World has brought the sounds of all different cultures from right across the globe.
Way before WOMAD and the world music phenomenon changed western perception of ethnic music Ross was opening the door to the world.
20 years on 95bFM makes him our longest serving DJ, and the show our longest running.
To put it in perspective, Ross would have been a veritable veteran when Andrew Black turned up for his first show as a wet behind the ears youngster! Our congratulations to Ross and cheers to another 20 years.
