ASB’s Jon Raby named CFO of the year at Deloitte Top 200

Jon Raby has been awarded the title of chief financial officer of the year at a black tie gala for the Deloitte Top 200
Awards.
The awards evening held at Spark Arena in Auckland, celebrates business excellence and leadership across 10 award
categories.
ASB chief executive Vittoria Shortt says Raby’s win is testament to his leadership skills.
“I am delighted to congratulate Jon on being named Chief Financial Officer of the year last night at the Deloitte Top
200 Awards,” Shortt says.
“Jon is an accomplished leader and well-known for his highly commercial and strategic approach to balancing risk with
reward. He actively champions talent development and rotation, and is passionate about innovation.
“Since joining ASB in 2012, he has earned respect from all stakeholders, and works tirelessly to help accelerate
financial progress for all New Zealanders. This award is incredibly well deserved, and it really highlights the calibre
of our team at ASB.”
Prior to joining ASB, Raby worked at CBA and as chief financial officer at Sovereign Insurance. He has an extensive
background in the financial services industry across New Zealand, Australia, the UK and South Africa.
