ZM Announces New Duo to Drive You Home
19 June 2018 – ZM have announced Bree Tomasel and Clint Roberts as their new Drive Show hosts, on air from 2 July.
Tomasel is an Australian export who grew up in country Queensland on an apple farm. She cut her teeth in radio with Nova Entertainment in Brisbane for five years, before moving to Southern Cross Austereo and holding the number one Breakfast spot for the two years she and her co-host were on air.
However, listeners may know her better by her social media handles – she boasts over 285,000 followers on Facebook and over 26,000 on Instagram; one of whom is Channing Tatum. She has been making some cameos on ZM over the past couple of months – many will remember her Gloriavale video earlier in the year.
Roberts, however, is a born and bred Kiwi, originally calling Rotorua home. He is the reigning Bay of Plenty Yo-yo champion, gaining the title in 1997 and has not since been defeated.
Listeners may know him from his time on The Edge’s Drive show with Guy, Sharyn and Clint, which was number one at the time. He comes from the breakfast crew at George FM and is looking forward to going back to the sleep ins.
Roberts is enjoying his first year of married life in West Auckland with his wife Lucy and Insta-famous cats, Ziggie and Bowie.
Ross Flahive, Content Director for ZM says the pair have a great rapport and he is looking forward to getting them on air. “Bree and Clint are both incredibly talented in their own rights, and make for great radio when they’re together. We are excited for listeners to get to know them even more, and follow along with them throughout the day, not just on Drive, as they keep us posted on their shenanigans on social media.”
Fletch, Vaughan and Megan can’t wait to have the pair as part of the ZM family. “We are excited to introduce Bree and Clint to the ZM audience. Every time we’ve had Bree on for a chat or talked about one of her videos, listeners have been texting in telling us to give her her own show. So, basically we’re the ones responsible for any of her success.
“We’ve worked with Clint before too, so we know how hard he works, and we know he and Bree will put together a great show every day.”
Jase and PJ will be staying with ZM, and details of their new show will be announced shortly.
Tune in to Bree and Clint on ZM from Monday 2 July.
