LINK business appoints serial entrepreneur Adrian McFedries as Chairman
World leading New Zealand business broking firm LINK has appointed Adrian McFedries as its new Chairman of the Board.
As a proud Kiwi entrepreneur, Adrian started his first company at the age of 17 and since then has successfully contributed to the growth and development of numerous large multinational brands including Jetts 24 Hour Fitness and Harcourts Real Estate. He brings to LINK extensive experience in both senior management roles and governance positions with a proven track record in growing enterprises, specialising in branded networks and franchising.
Adrian is Founder of a private Investment Group he has operated since 2001 which invests in fast growth companies in a range of industries that typically disrupt the playing field they operate in and are obsessed with the client experience.
During his six-year tenure at multi award winning Jetts Fitness, he was responsible for overseeing the transition to a global brand of 280+ clubs in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Netherlands and the UK. Under his leadership, the business saw a remarkable growth, averaging three new clubs a month for eight years before being sold to Quadrant Private Equity in 2016.
Aaron Toresen, LINK’s Managing Director, says Adrian is a huge asset to LINK, especially during a time where the business is experiencing rapid growth.
“Adrian will be a key player in how we develop the direction of the LINK business. His expertise will be invaluable to us and his previous success demonstrates just how talented he is. We’re really excited to have welcomed Adrian as Chairman of the Board and have no doubt he will play an important part in leading the business to the next level.”
“It’s a very exciting time for LINK and I’m excited to be part of their ongoing journey. LINK has become the undisputed global market leader in the business brokerage space and I’m looking forward to offer some valuable insights and strategic guidance to further enhance the great work they’re already doing,” Adrian said.
Adrian is now based in New Zealand after 17 years overseas and will work closely with the LINK Executive and Board in Auckland.
