New Zealand’s first National Organic Week is here!
Taking place between 9-15th April - Organic Week NZ is bringing you over 50 events, offers and promotions across the country for one whole week.
Several amazing brands within the organic community have created farm tours, tastings, workshops, instore specials, discounts and field days giving you a great insight into what there is to offer here in New Zealand.
Organics is on the rise. On a global scale the organic market is currently valued around $100 billion US dollars. With the term ‘organic’ popping up more frequently on New Zealand shelves, it’s important now more than ever to really educate New Zealanders on what it means to be organic and what they should be looking for.
Organic Week NZ’s Project Manager, Robyn Vickery is calling on the nation to delve into all the great things there are to offer throughout the week.
“The term organic is often misunderstood – and it really is a great choice for people who want to choose the best for their health and that of the environment,” Miss Vickery says.
“Organic Week NZ aims to achieve two things – the first is to celebrate. There are literally thousands of certified organic products available, and we want to give you the opportunity to hear the amazing stories from the passionate producers themselves by going along to these events”
“The second is to educate. Organic encompasses so much more than what meets the eye, and we’re excited to have a platform that really helps you to understand why organic is good for you and good for the planet.”
Organic Week NZ invites the public to utilise the website and social media channels to find out where to buy organic, what events and promotions are happening across New Zealand and why you should go organic. Consumers are also being asked to vote for their favourite organic farmer, product, retail store, eatery and brand before the 16th April for the Organic Week NZ Awards.
