Kotahi appoints GM Digital Technology
Kotahi today announced the appointment of Matthew Wright to the new role of GM Digital Technology.
Kotahi Chief Executive David Ross said the global logistics and supply chain sector will undertake significant digital transformation in the next three years as digitisation is transforming every industry.
“We’re on a journey to fully digitise our business to deliver an enhanced customer experience with smart, simple and cost effective online supply chain solutions.
“Matt brings significant experience in commercialising technology, having joined us from ASB Bank. The banking sector embraced innovation and we believe the same thinking and skillsets are applicable to our industry. Matt’s knowledge and experience will be valuable as we look through a customer lens in everything we do.
“Through collaboration and industry innovation, we are simplifying the export / import supply chain to keep New Zealand business competitive on the world stage and this delivered the country’s big ship strategy. The next step on the journey is to create the same value for customers, shareholders and New Zealand through digital innovation,” he said.
For the past two years Mr Wright has been Head of Consultancy Services, Global Transaction Banking at ASB Business, where he developed ASB’s value proposition to drive business growth through future visioning and digital transformation. Prior to this Mr Wright spent 10 years in banking and five years in global digital consultancy.
Mr Wright said it was exciting to join Kotahi at a time of change in the industry which provides opportunity to grow and develop the business.
“Given the speed of disruption, by digital first, non-traditional competitors, it’s now time to move quickly and build our proposition, starting with a customer-first approach.
“We have an opportunity to take a leadership position as the industry works together to fully digitise. We can augment our strengths, streamline operations to remove complexity and add value to our customers,” he said.
