NZCTA YA Launch Investment Forum
NZCTA YA and NZSA are about to launch an investment forum
AUCKLAND, SEPTEMBER 14, 2017 - New Zealand China Trade Association Young Associates (NZCTA YA) in collaboration with New Zealand Shareholders’ Association will be holding an investment forum: “Buy a Piece of a Company”. The Forum is on the 25th of September 2017 at GridAKL. It will be an opportunity for students, young professionals and anyone interested to learn the basics of the world of investment.
One of the speakers is Daniel Kieser, who is the founder and managing director of Shareclarity Limited. He notes "the benefits of starting early are simple. Compounded returns. $10,000 invested today at 8% gets you $100,000 in 30 years. Delay it 10 years and it's $47,000". This forum hopes to inspire many of the younger generation to not only to break misconceptions of investment, but encourage early investment.
NZCTA YA Chairman Cindy Yuan notes “We (the NZCTA Young Associates) wanted to have an event that helps our fellow young people to explore the investment world, because we believe a lot of them don’t realise there are so many other ways to invest than just real estates. With the property market being ridiculously out of reach, it is far more sensible to start in the equity market and move your way up to that dream house.” The NZCTA YA believes a realistic approach to investment and exploration of markets other than property will definitely increase accessibility for younger budding investors.
In addition to Daniel, other speakers include Mark Lister, who is the Head of Private Wealth Research at Craigs Investment and Leighton Roberts, who is the founder and director of Sharesies. Their depth of knowledge and wide range of experience will equip attendees to use their money as effectively as possible and enlighten them
The Forum is an evening event at 6-9pm on Monday 25th September at GridAKL near Wynyard Quarter. RSVP by Friday 22nd September.
