Hobson Wealth Partners announces a further trio of new hires
Auckland, New Zealand: Thursday 14th September, 2017
In the wake of a trio of senior appointments last month, leading private wealth advisory firm Hobson Wealth Partners has today announced it has further bolstered its team with a series of hires across the executive and advisory business.
Denis Haggitt has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Megan Matuschka has stepped on board as HR Manager, and Vanessa Otang has been promoted internally to the position of Investment Advisor (having previously held the role of Associate Advisor).
Denis Haggitt brings over two decades of relevant industry experience to the CFO role, having previously worked as a financial controller for a number of leading banking institutions throughout New Zealand, the UK and Europe – including Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas and HSBC London. Denis joins Hobson Wealth from Westpac New Zealand, where he held the role of Finance Business Partner for over two years.
Having completed her Masters in Industrial Psychology, Megan Matuschka’s career in Human Resources began over 15 years ago as a graduate trainee in the FMCG industry. Megan has worked in Generalist HR Management roles both in New Zealand and overseas, and in Local and Head Office entities. Her most recent role was as a Senior HR Business Partner with British American Tobacco Global Headquarters in London, where she worked closely with the Finance team to deliver on best practice Talent Management and Development initiatives.
Based at Hobson Wealth’s Wellington offices, Vanessa Otang has previously worked across a number of roles relating to the accounting and advisory industry, both in New Zealand and overseas in Australia and the UK – including over three years spent as a financial planner, most recently at Westpac NZ.
Hobson Wealth Partners Managing Director, Warren Couillault, says “These recent appointments are indicative of Hobson’s ongoing commitment to attracting, developing and retaining exceptional people, and to ensure we’re delivering exceptional investment outcomes for our clients.
“Megan in particular will be critical to that mission in the coming months and years - working closely with the Hobson Wealth executive team to establish and lead the organisation’s people agenda. We’re delighted to have Megan, Denis and Vanessa as part of the team,” Couillault concludes.
