Booking.com Adds Its One-Millionth Property in Nantucket, Massachusetts
With everything from five-star hotels to apartments, vacation homes and even treehouses, finding your perfect stay has
never been easier
AUCKLAND – AUGUST 8, 2016 – Booking.com’s ambition to connect travellers with the widest choice of incredible places to stay in the most seamless
and enjoyable way possible has reached new heights with the addition of the website’s one-millionth property.
The soon-to-open Greydon House, tucked away in the historic district of the picturesque island of Nantucket, just 30
miles off the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, became the one-millionth property to be added to the Booking.com
platform.
As the most recent addition to the site and now available for pre-booking, this contemporary take on a cosy village inn
joins the world’s most diverse array of unique accommodation options in over 30 different categories, including
everything from boats, igloos, castles, and treehouses to apartments, villas, holiday homes and resorts.
“We were thrilled to find out that we’re Booking.com’s one millionth partner,” said Jeff David, Manager at the Greydon
House. “Inspiring more travellers to visit Nantucket and experience it for themselves is one of the main reasons we’re
in business.
That’s why we decided to work with Booking.com in the first place as we know they can help us connect with more
customers globally than anyone else. We’re really looking forward to working together to share both our brand and our
special corner of Massachusetts with more potential guests from all over the world.”
“Empowering travellers with diversity and choice has always been at the core of our mission at Booking.com,” said
Gillian Tans, CEO of Booking.com.
“As we continue to expand and build relationships with accommodation providers in every corner of the globe, we are
delivering on our promise to consumers that no matter who you are or what you’re looking for in a place to stay when you
travel, we’ve got that one-in-a-million stay that’s just right for you.
And the best part is that you don’t have to take our word for it—with more than 100 million reviews from real guests
who’ve actually stayed at the property, you can guarantee that you’ll always find the perfect stay whoever you are and
whatever you’re passionate about.”
Having doubled the number of properties on its platform in just two years, Booking.com today offers more than one
million distinct properties that have over 23 million bookable rooms worldwide, including 7.2 million bookable rooms in
homes, apartments, villas and other categories of unique places to stay.
Over 70% of the accommodation options on Booking.com go beyond the traditional hotel, giving travellers the widest
choice of great accommodations, with over one billion guests having stayed at a Booking.com property since the site was
born.
“We are a small hotel chain. We don’t have the resources for mass marketing in overseas markets or in Asia,” said
Michael Wünsch, General Manager at 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin. “But through Booking.com, we are able to reach out to
guests that want this product. It’s the long arm of our distribution strategy and that’s why we do it.”
