SnapperNet Strengthens Support for Channel Customers with New Appointment
Shane Williamson appointed as Cradlepoint Business Development Manager to assist customers with their networking needs

AUCKLAND, Thursday November 4, 2015 – SnapperNet, the data communication products distributor for IT service providers, has reaffirmed its commitment to the Cradlepoint range of solutions with the announcement of Shane Williamson as Business Development Manager.
In this role, Shane will be responsible for identifying and working with partners to grow the Cradlepoint business in New Zealand. Cradlepoint provide solutions that power the always-connected distributed enterprise – joining data, cloud, security and the evolving IoT with intelligent networking.
Shane comes from a background in the networking and telco space. Just prior to taking this role, he was a Sales Specialist / BDM at Vector Communications Ltd and has also held roles the Business Development Manager at Juniper Networks / Gen-i and Enterprise Services Manager at HP.
“I always try to understand customers’ business issues or new ideas and translate these into solutions that deliver successful outcomes to business needs and objectives,” Shane says. “I hope to be able to bring this expertise to my new role at SnapperNet.”
The potential for expansion in the M2M and IoT space is massive according to Richard Paul, Director for SnapperNet. Because of this they’ve decided to appoint a full time Business Development Manager to work with the Cradlepoint offerings. “Shane Williamson has extensive experience in the networking area and in-depth understanding of Cradlepoint products,” Richard says. “He will communicate the merits of these products to customers and build the brand in New Zealand using his strong business development skills.”
“A key part of my role will be helping partners and resellers to build solutions for customers with Cradlepoint,” Shane says. “People now want to connect things that haven’t previously been connected. Cradlepoint provides the perfect way to do this in a secure manner in challenging environments. For companies that are shifting their business computing to the cloud, Cradlepoint offers products that can provide protection from a WAN or Internet access failure that could have a significant financial or reputational impact on their business.”
Outside of work Shane enjoys spending time with his family and has recently taken on a new project of rebuilding an old Jeep that he intends to fill with modern technology!
