Wellington’s Top Recruiters on the Move
Two of Wellington’s top recruitment specialists, Graeme Sandri and Tony Walsh, have today launched their own executive
search and recruitment consultancy, SandriWalsh.
SandriWalsh will operate at the top end of the executive recruitment market. With a combined fifty years of experience,
Sandri and Walsh have been instrumental in helping hundreds of New Zealand clients build leadership capability.
Well known for their pragmatic approach to business, Sandri and Walsh are former managers and shareholders of Momentum.
Momentum will hold a minority shareholding in SandriWalsh, reinforcing the respect it has for both directors and success
of the new venture.
Graeme Sandri, director of SandriWalsh said that leadership requirements of New Zealand business continue to evolve, but
the need for high-performing executives remains constant. “Identifying and attracting leaders requires a thorough
understanding of different industries and functions, an unrivaled knowledge of senior executives and a keen sense of the
right ‘fit’ of objectives, people and culture.
Our experience means we can leverage our heritage and our own model for recruiting top leaders which is evolving all the
time. We know the executive market and how high the stakes for business. Our agile approach to business means we can
tailor our services to meet those needs,” said Sandri.
Fellow SandriWalsh director Tony Walsh agrees. “In the 2013 Doing Business report, the World Bank ranked New Zealand
number one in the world for ‘Starting a business’, but it’s no mean feat for that business to survive and succeed. This
is particularly true for small to medium businesses who are an essential source of jobs, creative entrepreneurial spirit
and innovation and are critical for fostering competitiveness and employment. At the same time, human resources are one
of the five biggest risk areas for small to medium sized businesses.
We are not in the business of simply getting a fee and getting out which is a common criticism of the recruitment
industry. The executive search business is different. We’re in it with our clients for the long haul and working with
them to help bring their vision to life. We can help raise their productivity by finding the right leaders to help these
businesses grow and thrive,” said Walsh.
