kiwi CRAFT has surpassed its Kickstarter goal
20 August 2014
At 11.20 AM, Tuesday 19 August 2014 kiwi CRAFT, a Kickstarter project to publish a digital and print guide to New Zealand craft beer, reached its funding goal and
will now be a reality.
"I would like to thank each one of my supporters, from those that have given hundreds of dollars to those who have given
$1, simply because they believed the project was a good one" says author and publisher Jules van Cruysen.
"I would especially like to thank beer professionals, brewers, breweries, retailers, bar owners and SOBA (Society of
Beer Advocates)," says van Cruysen, "Endorsement and support from the industry will mean that kiwi CRAFT will become the authoritative guide to NZ craft beer."
A full list of breweries who have supported kiwi CRAFT can be found on the Kickstarter page. This will be updated regularly as more breweries come on board.
So far kiwi CRAFT has received $16,833 from backers, at one point $4,040 being funded in 24 hours.
Beer lovers are encouraged to go to kiwi CRAFT on Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kiwicraft/kiwi-craft) and pledge now to ensure they are one of the first to receive kiwi CRAFT. The Kickstarter campaign ends at 10.21am(NZ Time) on Saturday 23 August.
"Additional funding will go toward building a better product for a bigger audience for kiwi CRAFT, and, in turn, the NZ craft beer industry; both locally and internationally," says van Cruysen, "this will be good for
breweries of all sizes."
