New Zealand Realtors Network Ltd appoints new GM
The New Zealand Realtors Network Ltd has appointed a new General Manager, Colleen Milne, to oversee the strategic
development of the nationwide network of leading real estate agencies.
Connecting real estate agencies across rural and urban New Zealand, the New Zealand Realtors Network provides buyers and
sellers with advice and information for prospective markets. With major national leaders in real estate represented,
including REINZ Agency of the Year Barfoot & Thompson, the Network is an industry leader, selling one in four residential properties across New Zealand.
“In many ways the New Zealand Realtors Network Ltd is a sleeping giant, with market share in residential, rural,
commercial and enormous property management expertise,” says Colleen, who was appointed as General Manager in July. “You
put these skills and knowledge together and NZ Realtors Network is a nationwide specialist.”
Having previously held the position of CEO at First National Real Estate, Colleen is at home in her new role among other
industry leaders.
“This is my most exciting role yet,” she continued.
“The Network is a truly great resource for both real estate agencies and Kiwi buyers alike. Its purpose is to provide
services, training, referrals and resources to both members and their customers.”
With an MBA and years of experience in the industry, Colleen is well-equipped to oversee the Network which comprises of
155 offices, 2,250 salespeople and over 300 property managers.
There are few topics that pique interest and speculation more than property, and Colleen recognises it as an exciting
time to be in real estate.
“My main goal is to grow awareness of the NZ Realtors Network across the country. We are market leaders in many of the
regions across the country, so for me, the key is learning what makes for success and sharing best practice throughout
our group.”
Commenting on Ms Milne’s appointment, Peter Thompson, Managing Director of Barfoot & Thompson, said, “The team at Barfoot & Thompson benefit greatly from our New Zealand Realtors Network membership and we are excited to see what new
opportunities arise under Colleen’s leadership.”
