NZX trading halted on system glitch
By Suze Metherell
June 27 (BusinessDesk) - All trading has been halted on the New Zealand stock exchange half an hour into the session as the stock market operator deals with a technical issue.
Trading will resume at 10:45 am after a "restart to the message gateway will be completed and the market reopened once participant connectivity has been confirmed," the NZX said in an announcement to the market. Participants will be able check and adjust their orders ahead of the restart.
The issue is a FIX messaging problem, and is the second technical glitch in the market this month.
