Realestate.co.nz’s popular mobile ‘house-hunting’
app now available on iPad
Auckland, 7 March 2014 – Realestate.co.nz’s free ‘house-hunting’ app, which has been downloaded more than 200,000 times, is now available on
iPad.
A new iPhone version of the popular app has also been released.
Realestate.co.nz Marketing Manager, Paul McKenzie, said making the app available on iPad, together with the new iPhone
version, are two more steps by Realestate.co.nz towards making house hunting as easy as possible.
“Launched in November 2010 and now available on iPad, iPhone and Android devices, the app has changed the way people
searched for and viewed properties,” he said.
“Using the mobile device of their choice, the app enables house hunters to get a birds-eye view of any area in New
Zealand, showing information about homes that are for sale or rent in the area around them,” he said.
The iPad version of the app makes full use of an iPad screen enabling a map of an area to be searched at the same time
as properties are being viewed.
McKenzie said “already more than 40% of all viewings of Realestate.co.nz sites are done via a mobile device and we
expect this number to increase with the introduction on the iPad version of the app.
“Agents tell us that people are turning up to open homes guided by the app, and with a list of saved homes on the app
that they are planning to check out,” he said.
Faster and with added benefits making finding a new home easier and more enjoyable, Realestate.co.nz’s mobile app has
all the boxes ticked for New Zealanders searching for a new home, McKenzie said.
It has become an essential accessory for Kiwis searching for local properties for sale or rent, he said.
