DataCol awarded major metering contract for Dunedin
Christchurch, 5 February 2014 - DataCol, a leading meter reading and data collection company for the meter reading and data processing of approximately 20,000 commercial, industrial and residential meters has won a major contract in Dunedin.
The council saw the benefits of utilising the experience and expertise that DataCol brings with it. “The council has a clear focus on delivering best value services across the organisation. Awarding the contract to DataCol to read our 4000 commercial and industrial meters represents procuring best value services for the City” says Dr Laura McElhone, Group Manager Water and Waste Services, Dunedin City Council.
“All efforts for better water management and conservation will go a long way in helping DCC ensure a steady water supply for residents and businesses” says Bruce Franks, CEO of DataCol.
“The new contract aims to build on and provide further efficiencies to their systems, as well as future proof their meter data requirements, meaning Dunedin City ratepayers will receive the highest value for their rates with this service.”
“We’ve exceeded the expectations of residents and councils of Tauranga, Nelson, Auckland, Sydney and many other cities and now aim to bring the same high standards of service to the people of Dunedin,” concluded Mr Franks.
