$4.067M Distributed in July 2013 Donations
Martin Cheer, CEO of PUB CHARITY announced today “KidsCan Charitable Trust and Diabetes NZ both contribute to the
economic, social and cultural growth of New Zealand communities in their own way, and each have been awarded a
significant donation this month. Every month, except December, Pub Charity donations are awarded to organisations in
communities throughout New Zealand. Pub Charity has distributed 2,935 donations amounting to 19,563 Million so far this
financial YTD.”
Julie Chapman CEO & Founder of KidsCan says, “We are absolutely thrilled to be a recipient of Pub Charity funding. It will certainly make a tangible difference to
the lives of many of the children we support, by providing the basics they need to succeed at school.”
Joe Asghar CEO Diabetes NZ says, “Diabetes NZ is thrilled by the grant awarded to us by Pub Charity – it goes a long way
in helping us support the over one million Kiwis living with diabetes or pre-diabetes in communities around the country
(over 225,000 people have diabetes and an estimated 750,000 have pre-diabetes). This award is especially important as it
will go towards running new and ground-breaking projects that we expect to significantly improve support and information
services available to people affected by diabetes at a local level.”
“Charity gaming grants support thousands of community groups quite independently of any political influences of what is
deemed important for communities. That’s an incredibly important thing for all of us to value.”

Sectors of the Community where funds have been distributed this month and year to date:
Pub Charity supports communities all over New Zealand, limited only by local council gambling policies and gambling
legislation. National through to grass root level and local organisations are able to reach their objectives and benefit
the people they serve through a simple, transparent, efficient, timely, non-political and independent funding process
making Pub Charity a funder of choice for many organisations. Thanks to our venue operators, Pub Charity is able to make
a huge difference to a wide range of local causes by returning millions of dollars back to communities where we operate.
