No Surcharge Website Launched
If you are tired of paying an extra 15% or even 20% for coffee or meal on a public holiday, then look no further.
No-surcharge.co.nz is a new website that provides a directory of places to eat or drink that do not implement a
surcharge on a public holiday.
Increasing numbers of cafés, bars and restaurants are choosing not to charge extra on a public holiday, and
no-surcharge.co.nz has been designed to celebrate this trend. It provides a list of cafés, bars and restaurants that
have implemented a No-Surcharge policy, which means New Zealanders can easily find a place to relax and unwind, without
having to pay extra for food and beverages, something which appeals to most, especially in the recent unsettling
economic times.
No-surcharge.co.nz has been developed by LittleMonkey Ltd, a website development company based in Wellington. It was the
brain-child of Nick Koirala, Director of LittleMonkey, and was dreamt up following the summer public holidays and a lack
of information on the internet for people to see where they could eat or drink without paying extra. “With Queens
Birthday approaching fast, and a weekend of surcharges looming, we decided to create this website to cater for those New
Zealanders that want to relax, without paying extra for the privilege”, says Koirala.
The website has been welcomed by those in the hospitality industry that have implemented a no-surcharge policy. To find
the perfect café or restaurant this Queens Birthday, which satisfies your cravings and doesn’t break the bank, visit www.no-surcharge.co.nz.
