Game maker teams up with Cloud developer to form unique Kiwi strategic partnership
Companies looking to collaborate and mutually benefit from HTML5 and Cloud opportunities
Auckland, 15 December 2011 – PixelFusion and Rush Digital Interactive today announced a strategic and mutually beneficial partnership leading into 2012. The partnership is one of a kind in the NZ business sphere. The two Parnell based companies already collaborate to offer end-to-end cloud based and smart phone development services, the goal of this new partnership is to bring together PixelFusion’s HTML5 and cloud capabilities with Rush Digital’s smart phone gaming expertise.
The importance of the cloud, mobile and HTML5 can’t be understated. Innovative cloud technologies bridge data and information processing across locations and physical devices, while being able to scale seamlessly based on demand. The net result is being able to provide a rich experience across smart phones and browsers, allowing users to interact with their app where- and whenever they like. Rush Digital and PixelFusion wish to expand these benefits into the gaming sphere alongside their current offerings.
As well as providing development services for the likes of Heineken®, Rush Digital develops smart phone games and its own proprietary game creation framework. Rush Digital CEO Danushka Abeysuriya says “We have the ability to deliver a broad spectrum of ideas including interactive 2D, 3D and augmented reality based apps, partnering with PixelFusion further extends our combined capabilities.” he goes on to say “We’re really aiming to remove any limitations from our client’s imaginations and strengthen our cloud capabilities around game development.”
PixelFusion’s portfolio goes from high traffic websites such as Auckland Tourism and Flicks.co.nz through to cloud based “Web 2.0” applications. PixelFusion’s Managing Director Craig Boxall says, “The partnership represents a lot of value to our clients. Smart phones increasingly reliant on the cloud, and together with our focus on quality, high-performing web apps and Rush Digital’s broad know-how in all things smart phone, we’re able to offer service and expertise of a very high standard.” Mr Boxall continues: “Bringing PixelFusion and Rush Digital together like this makes a lot of sense.”
