LAS VEGAS, July 8, 2011 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --
New Zealand-based ActionCOACH to discuss time management strategies and more
Owning a business can be overwhelming. There is so much to do and so little time, it can feel like running in place. In his years as an ActionCOACH, Bruce Wilson has seen business owners struggle this way and he has come up with a solution, a way to avoid that feeling of being overwhelmed.
Wilson will outline specific strategies to use in overcoming this challenge when he gives his presentation, "Grabbing Back Your Time from Overwhelm" at the 2011 Business Excellence Forum.
The 2011 Business Excellence Forum (http://www.actioncoach.com/businessforum2011) is the year's premier event for small business owners and entrepreneurs – offering a unique opportunity to discover cutting-edge business strategies from some of the top entrepreneurs, speakers and coaches in the world.
All of the speakers and workshops at the event are targeted to deliver high-impact and effective business growth and information to substantially grow small business income, profits and teamwork.
Both Les Brown and ActionCOACH Founder and Chairman Brad Sugars will speak at the event, in addition to a total of 11 additional speakers and coaches, including Wilson.
According to Wilson, a common problem for business owners is being pulled in many different directions and the best way to overcome this issue is by finding better ways to manage time.
"To take action within a particular time frame, there has to be a proper decision making process in place. People that learn to manage their time correctly, I have found, don't suffer from feeling overwhelmed the way those that don't manage their time the right way," Wilson said.
According to Wilson, it can be like when the RAM in a computer is full and the processes are running slowly, in that most people can focus on a few things, but try to do too much.
"When someone says they are busy," Wilson continued, "they are generally refusing to make hard decisions. Everybody experiences that, but business owners tend to create situations that make them busier than they need to be and in that way they begin to feel overwhelmed and stressed."
So how does Wilson propose people overcome these challenges? He will spell out strategies at the Business Excellence Forum but offered some ideas in the meantime.
"Planning is huge in the process of decision making and with proper planning, overwhelm can be overcome to a certain extent. I also believe that the practice of mind dumping helps relieve the stress of what's coming next," he said.
Wilson's speech is just one presentation that will benefit those that attend the Business Excellence Forum (http://www.actioncoach.com/businessforum2011-tickets), which will be held at the world famous Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, Florida on August 19 and 20, highlighted by featured speakers Brad Sugars and Les Brown and sponsored by ActionCOACH, the world's number one business coaching firm.
