More Winners At Mortgage Link
Mortgage Link, the national mortgage advisory group, wrapped up its National Conference in Queenstown last week with its annual awards. This year Mortgage Link Otago took the Supreme award, recognising its dominant presence in the region, its great systems and processes and their investment in new premises and expanding team.
Rod Templeton (Chief Executive) said “The annual awards are always a great occasion and this year it was agreed the Mortgage Link Otago office really does reflect all that we like to think represents the Mortgage Link culture and values”.
The individual award winners are attached to this release and Rod’s specifically commented on the People’s Choice. “This is a new award where the nominations and voting are controlled by the Group and this year we had a tie with Paul Maher (Mortgage Link North) and Craig Seton (Mortgage Link Manawatu) being on top. Both Paul and Craig are hugely admired within the industry and Mortgage Link, so it was absolutely appropriate a tie occurred”.
The 2011 National Conference had a focus of “Down to Business” where attendees listened to presentations on accounting structures, the web and lead generation as well new opportunities to meet our clients’ financial needs. A large section of the conference focused on the Mortgage Link Pathway to Competency, which uses the National Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 and the Code of Professional Practice as its framework. Rod commented “Mortgage Link has always had a documented advice process, and by working with Strategi, the industry consulting group, we have come up with a best practice process as well as one that allows us to effectively and efficiently meet our client needs”.
Vicky Devine, Business Development Manager also sees the Mortgage Link Conference as being rather unique. “The Mortgage Link family enjoy being together, learning together and certainly celebrating together. The type of people in our Group is also reflective in the support received by our lender and alliance partners, who seem to enjoy being with us and celebrating our award winners”.
