Jewellery group Michael Hill International has brightened the start of the day with a sparkler of a result, with EBIT up 38.4% to $36.24m, reports investment news site www.headliner.co. nz
The bottom line is down 60.3% at $26.51m compared with $66.79m in FY09 but the FY10 result does not include abnormal items to the extent of FY09 when a deferred tax credit of $50.1m was included in the profit after tax.
Sales revenue was ahead 7.6% at $443.33m compared with $411.99m.
Earnings per share are 6.93c 17.46c). Return on shareholders' funds is 17.3%.
