New Zealand Tourism Industry Blog Connects the Tourism Community
Together Online
An innovative free online community and resource for the New Zealand tourism industry has launched today with it’s website www.tourismindustryblog.co.nz The blog publishes ongoing online articles written by a variety of tourism industry contributors with the aim of providing useful business information for all organisations, operators and sectors working in New Zealand tourism.
Contributors have been invited to write regular articles, while visitors to the website can participate by adding comments to the blog posts to create discussion around the various topics.
Founder of the blog, Michelle Ackers of ADEPT Marketing in Northland, is excited to have set up this interactive community for an industry she knows well and is keen to bring useful information and discussions online.
“This industry really does feed off each other for business partnerships, growth, support and new ideas, so it’s an obvious evolution to use technology to provide an online environment to bring together the thoughts and ideas of people in the industry that can benefit tourism businesses and organisations across New Zealand.
” She also says that the blog is open to anyone in the industry to participate, “While we have launched this site with some invited authors, we are keen to hear from anyone involved in tourism in New Zealand who wish to contribute articles to the blog, and we encourage all readers to write comments on articles with their own opinions and questions”.
The Tourism Industry Blog is unique because it does not aim to be a publisher that keeps track of and announces industry news, but rather an interactive resource to help businesses succeed in tourism. The idea is for people in the industry to share their tips, ideas, experience and advice with content developed by the tourism community.
