Corporate Events Guide Breaks National Record
Last month, Auckland based company - The Corporate Events Guide – broke the national record for the largest number of attendees at a conference and events expo!
On the 30 and 31 of October, Ellerslie Events Centre hosted the Corporate Events Guide ground breaking line up; New Zealand Conference and Events Expo (NZCEE), TIME Speakers Convention and the Peoples Choice Awards.
Boasting a record number of attendees across the action packed couple of days, the Corporate Events Guide saw a total of 2110 delegates pass through Ellerslie gates and achieve the highest number of day buyers (1720) at a conference and events expo New Zealand has seen all year.
And it’s no surprise, when you consider that this wasn’t any ordinary expo with interactive exhibitors ranging from wall climbing to sheep shearing, racing simulators and the WOW factor entertainment arena!
Everything an event planner could want was catered for by the ‘World of Events’ which included the Taste Place, The People People, Places and Spaces and The World of Creation. Whether it was a road show, a conference, brand event or incentive, NZCEE provided both the solutions and the inspiration to see these come to life.
It wasn’t all just fun and games, and the day produced some serious business with 78% of attendees planning to buy a product or service after the event and exhibitors reporting hundreds of quality leads generated. “It was so exciting to have the opportunity to showcase our services to such a wide audience of attendees” Said EventMergers.
On day two, TIME was the order of the day, which witnessed an incredible programme of 24 world class trainers, motivators and business coaches. As well as getting involved with key speaker presentations, attendees networked, made new contacts and shared their ideas and experiences in the designated Newmarket café – getting inspired and reenergising themselves and their businesses.
“I highly endorse TIME as a must do on any event organisers calendar. This year I had the privilege of speaking at some very cool events such as the HR SUMMIT in Singapore as well as the New York Office of GOOGLE and TIME was on a par with both these world events” Ngahi Bidois.
Concluding these two fantastic days was the Corporate Events Guide, Peoples Choice Awards which recognised the success and outstanding performance of those involved in the events industry. The winners were decided by the votes of more than 13,000 New Zealanders who had received exceptional service from those nominated.
The awards covered 37 categories, ranging from Audio Visual Hire and Conference Venues to Corporate Gifts and Florists with the finalists coming from far and wide including Auckland, Taranaki, Wairarapa, Nelson and the Southland
The gala dinner was a great way to round up the two days and celebrate just how far the industry has come.
