IAB New Zealand Completes Strategic Review
Auckland, 20 July 2009
Representatives of the IAB New Zealand Board last month completed a full review of its operations. It has refocused its purpose and redefined its scope of operations. Moving forward, the IAB will run a more focussed project based set of activities, with clear member ownership, outcomes, and end points.
The immediate effect of the strategic review has been to discontinue the CEO role for the organisation. This has been a difficult decision, but is considered appropriate for the organisation at this time. Consequently, Greig Buckley will step down from the IAB CEO role in September after working through a transition period.
On behalf of the IAB, Chairman Kevin Bowler, thanked Greig for his contribution to the organisation both as a Board member and more recently as CEO. Under Greig’s tenure as CEO we have continued to report strong growth in interactive media investment, most recently +8% for Q1 09 vs Q1 08.
The final IAB organisation structure to support the new strategy has yet to be formalised by the Board, but an announcement is likely later this month.
