Goldridge Expands Its Advisor Network
Leading independently owned investment advice and financial planning company Goldridge Wealth Management (Goldridge) has
expanded its adviser network with four experienced advisers joining the group on 31 January 2009.
The new members are John Sumner, Graeme Ryan, Stephen Musaphia and Peter Donovan. John Sumner and Graeme Ryan join
Goldridge from Hawkes Bay planning firm Sumner Ryan. Stephen Musaphia was formerly with Financial Frontiers and Peter
Donovan with Financial Advisory Services, both operating from the Hutt Valley.
Goldridge Chairman, Mr. Daniel Mintz said, ”We are very pleased to welcome John, Graeme, Peter and Stephen to the
Goldridge group. They each add a wealth of experience to Goldridge, but above all they share our values and commitment
to client service.”
John Sumner, speaking on behalf of the new members, said, “Our goal has always been to help clients achieve their
financial lifestyles and goals by providing impartial, professional investment advice in a trusted adviser/client
relationship.
We have been looking to become part of a network that shares our values and goals of integrity, trust, independence, and
professionalism. In Goldridge, we found a commitment to meeting client needs without the influence of brokerage or
commissions, which allows us to meet the challenges of government regulation without any additional costs to the
client.”
Goldridge was founded in 2000 as a joint venture between experienced financial advisors and a major fund manager. In
2003, senior advisers and management bought out the fund manager’s interest to establish the current Goldridge network.
Mr Sumner says, “A real strength of the Goldridge Group is its robust processes surrounding investment allocation, which
is overseen by an investment committee headed by Investment Director Joe Byrne. This committee draws on external expert
advice together with unique independent research to make its recommendations on behalf of the entire group.”
Joe Byrne has worked in New York and London with KPMG and Moore Capital Management, where he was European Fixed Income
Trader with Moore Capital Management in London.
Daniel Mintz said, “These new members are a welcome addition to the Goldridge network and consistent with our strategy
of expanding the network through organic growth and acquisitions, with the goal of having more than 40 advisers
operating under our umbrella by mid 2009.”
