TVCAB Promotes Julia Turner to Head of Approvals
The Television Commercial Approvals Bureau (TVCAB) has announced that Julia Turner has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of Approvals.
Turner has been with TVCAB for over ten years and previously held a number of positions at TVNZ. As Head of Approvals she will be responsible for ensuring the consistency of TVCAB’s commercial vetting and classifications system and its ongoing evolution.
The creation of the Head of Approvals role marks the start of a new initiative at TVCAB to provide additional training and concept stage consulting services to advertisers and advertising agencies.
“Julia has a huge amount of experience dealing with the rules and guidelines governing television advertising in New Zealand” said Rob Hoar, General Manager of TVCAB. “Her new role means that more of TVCAB’s customers and staff will benefit from this expertise”.
About TVCAB:
TVCAB is a partnership between TVNZ and TVWorks and is supported by all major television broadcasters and advertisers. TVCAB’s role is to protect the reputation of New Zealand’s broadcasters and to minimise compliance risks for advertisers and their agencies by vetting and classifying all television commercials before they are broadcast.
