Competitors happy to endorse CVBank.co.nz
New Zealand owned and operated job website CVBank.co.nz celebrates its place as being the smartest online job site in
New Zealand by receiving endorsement from one of its main rivals.
APN Media owned competitor search4jobs.co.nz has unwittingly been promoting CVBank’s banner on its home page for the
last 5 days referring thousands of job seekers through to its newest rival CVBank.
CVBank Managing Director Scott Jackson said, “We thought we would test how effective our competitors were monitoring
what’s happening on their site, because we think users and advertisers aren’t getting the service, or value for money
from the existing job board companies”.
Thursday saw CVBank’s banner ads sneak under the radar, enticing job hunters with a $100 cash reward to find a job
through its site. “I was amazed they allowed it to go up, and what’s more they haven’t taken it down.” Mr Jackson says.
To Jackson, this proves that “if you want the best service and a well monitored job site, CVBank is the only place to
be”.
CVBank.co.nz is one of Wellington’s hottest start ups, launched in June 2008 in order to bring the New Zealand Job board
space back to the hands of New Zealanders. “We are simply answering the call of the market” Mr Jackson says. “We want to
give the public an easy way to find jobs, a service that is smart and well monitored, and importantly, a kiwi owned job
board for kiwis”.
In today’s job board market there is a lot more needed than just a plain website charging fees. With smart technology to
align job hunters with great employers including the use of VideoCVs, Video Job Ads and Job Text Alerts, CVBank’s smart
marketing tactics also ensure its offering is one that even its competitors will support.
