Statement Update On Grounded Vessel San Cuvier
The operation to remove the pollutants from the San Cuvier was completed last night. Today the recovery equipment has been removed and returned.
In excess of 15,000 litres of oil, diesel and dirty water has been removed and taken away for processing and disposal.
Sanford Limited would like to record its thanks to the local residents whose assistance has been much appreciated.
At this time the future of the San Cuvier is not clear however the risk of any damage to the environment has been substantially reduced.
